Introduction to Animation & Game Design

Programme Overview

This two-week introductory course in Animation & Game Design is perfect for visual arts students in secondary schools who are eager to explore creative careers in digital media. Participants will learn the fundamentals of drawing, principles of animation, and basics of game design through three interactive modules. The course includes a hands-on field trip to the National Gallery of Jamaica and concludes with an exhibition and awards ceremony.

• ✓ Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• ✓ Module 1: Fundamentals of Drawing
• ✓ Module 2: Fundamental Principles of Animation
• ✓ Module 3: Introduction to Game Design

Special Activities

• ✓ Field Trip: July 9, 2025 (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) → National Gallery of Jamaica (view, critique & sketch)
• ✓ Exhibition & Awards Ceremony: August 2025
